Welcome!

I am Blaine Conrad. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2015. I attended Iowa State University for my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I worked briefly in residential treatment at Youth Emergency Services and Shelter as a resident advisor prior to returning to school to obtain my graduate degree. I attended University of Iowa and earned my graduate degree in Social work. During graduate school, I specialized Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and play therapy. Since graduating, I have worked at Orchard Place, Child Guidance Center with children ages three to eighteen. I have additional specialized training in several different therapy treatments. I have become certified in both TF-CBT and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR). I am currently working on my certification in Play therapy. I have worked with children, families, and caregivers of the Des Moines area from all different walks of life. I value building connects with my clients, meeting my clients where they are at, and finding an integrated approach that best fits my clients’ needs.

When I am not in the office. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I enjoy all different types of sports, hiking, traveling, and creative outlets. My current favorite sport to play with friends are volleyball, and soccer when I get the chance.
